Singapore is an amazing place to spend a layover – not only is it stunning, but for the vast majority of passport holders it’s also visa-free to visit, meaning you can maximise your city stopover without having to do much paperwork. You can find official information on visas here.

Here are some of the amazing things you’ll get up to on our Singapore City Stopover:

Biking around Singapore

Singapore’s a stunning place, and there’s no better way to cover some ground while getting amazing views than on a bike tour. After meeting your Adventure Leader on the ground you’ll be straight off, taking in all the sights as you go. Merlion Park, Marina Bay Sands, Kampong Glam – you’ll see all the highlights that Singapore has to offer. There are so many things to do and see in Singapore – and all the food to eat. That’s why it’s even better that you’ll be whizzing around by bike… it makes it even easier for you to hop off and sample all the delicious local cuisines and street foods as you go.

Lau Pa Sat Hawker Center

If you’re not familiar with the term, a hawker center is a gigantic food court, packed to the rafters with amazing local vendors, delicious drinks, and tasty regional dishes. No Singapore itinerary – 3 days is plenty of time! – is complete without trying everything you can, so be sure to save yourself some room while biking. At Lau Pa Sat, you’ll want to eat – trust us.

The Civic District

It’s beautiful by day, but by night the Civic District is something very special. It’s Singapore’s historic area, meaning it’s home to some amazing architecture and incredible buildings, like the old Parliament House, the National Gallery and the Padang. Known as the birthplace of modern Singapore, it’s the perfect place to take a stroll alongside the river after dinner (after a visit to Lau Pa Sat, you might need to stretch your legs!). As you explore, you’ll see public artworks, more than a few amazing statues – and you’ll find plenty of places to grab a drink.

Gardens by the Bay

Need we say more? Arguably one of the most iconic landmarks on the planet, the Gardens by the Bay is a 100+ hectare site that’s been designated the world’s biggest greenhouse! The Gardens’ domes mimic some of the planet’s most intriguing climate regions, and are home to an impossible array of flowers, plants and trees. There’s even a manmade mountain, complete with a 35m high waterfall! You can also explore the Supertree Grove, the outside lawns, and a 2km promenade bordering the reservoir.
